Civils Working Foreman

Ormskirk, Lancashire

Up to £45,000 + Overtime + Vehicle + Training + Progression

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Groundworker or Civils Supervisor to join a well-established specialist contractor working on exciting sports construction projects across the UK. As the business continues to expand its in-house civils capabilities, they are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, develop their leadership skills and eventually build and lead their own team.

Are you an experienced Groundworker or Civils Supervisor looking to take the next step in your career? Do you want the opportunity to run your own projects and build a team beneath you? Are you looking to join a stable, family-run business where you can develop your skills and progress into a senior position?

This established specialist contractor delivers sports construction, drainage and civil engineering projects across the UK, working on a variety of professional sporting facilities, stadiums and training grounds. With a strong reputation and long-standing client relationships, the business continues to invest in its capabilities and is looking to bring more of its civil engineering work in-house.

As Civils Working Foreman, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering civil engineering works across a range of projects, including drainage, kerbing, concrete works and groundworks. You will work closely with Project Managers and existing Foremen, taking responsibility for setting out, supervising operatives and ensuring work is delivered safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position where you will be actively involved on site rather than solely overseeing others.

This role would suit an experienced Groundworker, Working Supervisor or Civils Foreman who enjoys being on site and wants to take on greater responsibility. Experience with drainage, setting out and general civil engineering works would be beneficial, but the key requirement is someone hardworking, reliable and motivated to develop.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected specialist contractor where you can work on interesting projects, receive further training and qualifications, and play a key role in developing an in-house civils team, with the potential to progress into leading the department.

The Role:

* Carrying out and supervising civil engineering works including drainage, kerbing, groundworks and concrete installations
* Setting out works, coordinating labour and supporting the delivery of projects
* Working closely with Project Managers and Foremen across sports construction sites
* Taking increasing responsibility for projects, with the opportunity to build and lead your own team

The Person:

* Experience within groundworks, civil engineering, drainage or a similar hands-on construction background
* Previous supervisory experience or looking to step up from a senior groundworks position
* Ability to interpret drawings and assist with setting out works
* CSCS card and relevant site qualifications advantageous
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
* Hardworking, reliable and keen to develop into a leadership position
