Are you a CNC setting/operator looking for a stable, long-term position where you can take pride in producing high-quality tooling and components for technically demanding composite manufacturing projects?

On offer is a secure permanent role within a well-established specialist engineering manufacturer, producing tooling, jigs and fixtures used in composite component manufacture, as well as a range of machined components in aluminium, steel and other metals.

In this position you will work to quoted job timings, ensuring the correct speeds/feeds and best machining practices are used at all times. You will be part of a close-knit team environment, reporting to the CNC Team Leader, with a strong focus on quality, consistency and keeping machines and surrounding areas clean and safe.

The role will involve component set-up using holding / turn-over fixtures or plates, accurate inspection using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.), and running machines to maximum efficiency, including basic preventative maintenance and supporting continuous improvement by feeding back process improvements to the team.

This role would suit a time-served CNC Machinist / Setter-Operator looking for long-term stability, steady work and a quality-driven environment where attention to detail is valued.

The Role:

• CNC machining of tooling for composite component manufacture (including epoxy boards, carbon composite parts, jigs and fixtures)
• Machining aluminium, steel and other metals for a range of components
• Setting up components using holding / turn-over fixtures or plates and working to tolerances
• Optimising speeds/feeds and cycle times to meet quoted job timings and maximise spindle time
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, including preventative maintenance

The Person:

• CNC Machinist / Setter-Operator experience
• Live commutable to Nuneaton
