Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with electricity distribution network experience looking to deepen your technical expertise?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist design function providing electrical design and technical support across new connections and low carbon technology applications, with the chance to expand your capability in network modelling, standards and approvals.

In this role you will undertake network demand and export calculations, design points of connection, assess embedded generation applications (G98 / G99), and complete modelling for reinforcement where required, working closely with DNOs, ICPs and internal teams to progress design, construction and records processes.

This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer with experience designing electricity distribution networks, looking for a technically focused position with development, responsibility and long-term prospects.

  • Permanent role with a large, national utilities infrastructure business, offering hybrid working
  • Electrical design and technical support for new connections and LCT connections on existing supplies
  • Network demand/export calculations and point of connection (POC) design
  • Liaison with DNOs, ICPs and internal departments; peer design approvals within authorisation limits

The Person:

  • At least 1 year's experience designing electricity distribution networks (My client will consider engineering graduates up to more experienced hires)
  • Technical engineering qualification (Level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent)
