Are you a Welding & Fabrication Engineer or Production Engineer from a steel fabricated products background looking for a highly technical role where you can take ownership of welding procedures, approvals and shop-floor process improvement? Do you want a long-term, permanent position with an established manufacturer where you will be supported with external courses as required?
On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established UK manufacturer in a key role within their busy production team, with a hands-on remit across welding, fabrication, inspection and continuous improvement.
They design and manufacture specialist steel products in-house and are known for quality and technical capability. Due to continued demand and team changes, they are now looking to add an experienced engineer to strengthen their welding and fabrication function.
In this role you will be based on-site in Ammanford, driving forward welding and fabrication processes, supporting production supervision, developing jigs and methods, producing work instructions and building accurate production time data for new and existing products.
This role would suit a welding and fabrication professional with experience in steel fabricated products who wants a technically varied position, genuine responsibility in their area, and the chance to develop through relevant training courses over the long term.
The Role:
- On-site role supporting and developing welding & fabrication processes within production
- Implement and develop welder coding, welding procedures and approvals
- Continuous improvement of production methods, work instructions and job set-up / jigging methods
- 40 hours per week with flexibility
The Person:
- Strong background in welding and fabrication within steel fabricated products (not just welding)
- Supervisory experience and confident providing cover / support to production supervision
