Are you an experienced Multi-Utility Designer looking to join an established utilities business offering excellent benefits and long-term career progression?
Do you have experience designing electricity, gas and water networks and want to work on a varied portfolio of projects across the full project lifecycle?
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading multi-utility businesses, delivering essential infrastructure solutions across electricity, gas, water, wastewater, fibre and clean heat networks. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Multi-Utility Designer to support projects from initial design and quotation through to construction and delivery.
In this role, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, cost-effective and value-engineered multi-utility designs, supporting pre-contract proposals, post-contract design and variations. You'll work closely with internal teams, clients, network operators and other stakeholders to ensure designs are technically compliant, commercially sound and ready for construction.
You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects while developing your technical knowledge within a growing utilities business.

The Role:
- Produce cost-effective and value-engineered designs for electricity, gas and water networks
- Prepare accurate quotation documentation, including Bills of Quantities and financial summaries
- Support pre-contract design and technical/commercial validation
- Produce detailed construction drawings and design approval packs
- Manage design variations, assessing changes to scope, cost and programme
The Person:
- Proven experience in Multi-Utility Design
- Strong understanding of utility infrastructure, ideally across electricity, gas and water
- Experience producing technical designs and construction drawings
- Understanding of design approvals and utility network requirements
- HNC, relevant degree or equivalent technical experience is desirable
