This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Electrical team within a well-established Further Education College, where you will be fully supported to transition from industry into education. The College has a strong focus on staff development and will support the successful candidate through their teaching and assessing qualifications, with clear opportunities to progress your career within education.

As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will deliver Electrical Installation training across classroom and workshop environments, helping learners develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required to progress into the electrical industry. You will work with learners across different levels, supporting them throughout their training and helping them achieve their qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrical Installation professional with a minimum Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification, 18th Edition and AM2. You do not need previous teaching experience, as full training will be provided. The College is looking for someone who is reliable, organised, communicates well and genuinely wants to develop a long-term career within education.

The role:


  • Deliver Electrical Installation training to learners within classroom and workshop environments.

  • Deliver both practical and theory-based training.

  • Work closely with learners to support their progress and development.

  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

  • Some evening hours may be required.

  • Full teacher and assessor training provided.


The person:


  • Experienced Electrical Installation professional.

  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification essential. !8th edition and AM2 is beneficial but not essential.

  • Previous teaching or assessing experience is beneficial but not essential.

  • Genuine motivation to move from industry into teaching.
