In this role, you'll work with electrical apprentices as they progress towards their NVQ qualifications. You'll manage your own caseload, visiting apprentices in the workplace to assess their practical skills, review their progress and support them in building their NVQ portfolios. With a combination of home working and site visits, you'll have the flexibility to organise your own diary and manage your workload. Full training will be provided to help you make the transition from industry into assessing.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card. You'll have a strong practical background and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. Previous assessing or teaching experience is not required, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role:
*Full training provided to become a qualified Electrical Assessor.
*Hybrid working, combining home working with workplace visits.
*Manage your own diary and organise your working day.
*Support apprentices working towards their NVQ qualifications.
*Conduct workplace assessments and review apprentices' practical skills.
*Guide, coach and mentor apprentices throughout their training.
*Support learners in developing and completing their NVQ portfolios.
*Travel to apprentice workplaces across the local area.
The Person:
*Qualified Electrician with a background in electrical installation.
*Must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
*Must hold a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card.
*Strong practical industry experience.
*Previous teaching or assessing experience is not essential.
*Enjoys developing others and sharing technical knowledge.
*Looking to step off the tools and move into an assessing role.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
*Based within approximately 20 miles of Birmingham.
