Are you a Quality Assurance Manager looking for a senior role where you can lead quality strategy, drive a true "quality first" culture and take ownership of standards across a dual-site manufacturing operation?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist heavy engineering and manufacturing business producing high integrity iron and steel castings for the wider engineering sectors.

With two manufacturing plants and a strong focus on consistency and customer satisfaction, they are looking to strengthen the quality leadership function. In this role you will lead the Quality Department, managing a multi-discipline team (Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, Metrology and Scanning Engineers).

You will own the quality management system, lead certification processes, oversee audits (customer and supplier), and drive targeted improvement to reduce non-conformances and variability in casting quality. You will also take the lead on customer quality, managing complaints, containment and corrective actions, and using data and quality tools to identify trends, root causes and long-term improvements.

This is high-impact position with genuine ownership and accountability for quality performance. This role would suit an experienced Quality Assurance Manager from a heavy engineering or manufacturing background who wants senior ownership, the chance to lead and develop a team, and the opportunity to drive long-term quality performance across the business.

The Role:

• Lead the Quality Department and drive a "quality first" culture across two manufacturing plants (44 hours)
• Own and improve the Quality Management System, including certification processes and change control
• Lead customer and supplier audits, and manage audit planning and preparation
• Drive corrective actions, root cause analysis and targeted improvements to reduce defects and variability
• Manage customer quality including complaints, non-conformances, returns and containment actions

The Person:

• Proven Quality leadership experience in foundry / heavy engineering or high-integrity manufacturing
• Strong experience of QMS, audits, compliance and customer quality / corrective actions
• Confident leading teams and driving improvement using data and quality tools
