This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for someone who wants to develop their commercial experience, work closely with experienced QSs and Directors and progress into managing their own projects.

This growing main contractor delivers a varied range of projects across the South, including high-end motor retail, healthcare, industrial, commercial and refurbishment projects. The business has built a strong reputation through repeat and referral work and is continuing to grow steadily, with plans to increase turnover over the coming years.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the commercial team, supporting experienced Quantity Surveyors with procurement, subcontractor packages, measurements, valuations and the wider commercial management of projects. As your experience develops, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for smaller projects before progressing onto larger and more complex work.

This role would suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is eager to learn, hardworking and wants to build a long-term career within main contracting. Experience with measurements, take-offs, subcontractor packages and JCT contracts would be beneficial, but the key requirement is someone with the right attitude who is keen to develop.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit main contractor where you will work directly alongside experienced QSs and Directors, gain broad project exposure and have a clear route towards Quantity Surveyor and beyond.

The Role:

* Supporting Quantity Surveyors with procurement, subcontractor packages, valuations and measurements
* Working across live construction projects with regular site visits
* Gradually taking ownership of smaller projects as your experience develops
* Working closely with QSs, Contracts Managers, site teams and Directors

The Person:

* Assistant Quantity Surveying experience within construction
* Exposure to measurements, take-offs or subcontractor packages
* HNC, degree or relevant construction experience
* Hardworking, eager to learn and keen to progress
