£30,000 - £45,000 + Hybrid + Excellent Training + Career Progression + Early Finish Friday + Benefits

Hybrid / Office Based - commutable from Weymouth, Dorchester, Wareham, Swanage, Bridport, Crewkerne, Yeovil and surrounding areas

Are you experienced in CNC machining, fabrication or manufacturing processes and looking for an opportunity to step away from the shop floor, with full training into estimation, where you can massively develop and progress your engineering career?

This is a fantastic opportunity to transition from a CNC position off the tools & into a Planning & Estimating role, where you will receive full training and the chance to become a key technical link between engineering, production and sales.

You'll be joining a supportive, close-knit team where you can continue to build your technical knowledge while developing a long-term career in estimating and commercial engineering.

On offer is a Manufacturing Estimator / Estimating Engineer role, where you will be responsible for producing accurate quotations, costings and lead time assessments for customer enquiries. Working closely with Engineering, Production and Sales teams, you will ensure technical requirements are translated into commercially accurate and competitive proposals, while maintaining excellent communication with customers throughout the process.

Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to move off the CNC tools into a technical, office-based engineering role.

The Role:

* Preparation of quotes, costings and production time frames for client enquiries
* Working alongside Engineering, Sales and Production teams throughout the quotation process
* Reviewing technical drawings and manufacturing requirements to ensure accurate pricing
* Liaising with customers to support communication and service delivery
* Full training into estimating systems, processes and commercial engineering principles

The Person:
* Background in manufacturing, fabrication, CNC machining or precision engineering
* Strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing methods
* Looking to move off the tools into a technical / office-based role
* Keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career in estimating
* Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
