Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader or Senior Mechanical Technician looking for a days-based (Monday-Friday 8-4) leadership role where you can take ownership of planned and preventative maintenance while developing and leading a high-performing team?

Do you want to join a well-established process plant playing an important role in the UK's renewable energy transition, where safety, reliability and operational excellence are key priorities?

On offer is a secure, long-term position where you will lead the mechanical maintenance function within a busy COMAH-style environment, supporting shutdowns and outages when required while driving continuous improvement across maintenance systems, spares and contractor performance.

This business is an established operator within renewable fuels / waste-to-energy processing, with a strong focus on maintaining safe and reliable operations. Due to ongoing requirements across the site, they are looking to appoint an experienced mechanical leader to strengthen their maintenance function.

In this role, you will oversee planned, corrective and preventative maintenance schedules, maintain accurate work history through the CMMS, manage stores and critical spares, and oversee contractors to ensure all work is delivered safely, within scope and to the required quality standards.

This role would suit a trade-trained Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys leading from the front, supporting and developing engineers, and taking ownership of maintenance performance within a process environment.

The Role:

• Monday-Friday days-based role (8-4)
• Lead a team delivering planned, preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance
• Manage maintenance activities through the CMMS, ensuring tasks are completed and accurately recorded
• Oversee stores / spares processes while identifying continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities
• Manage contractors and support shutdowns / outages and call-out rota as required

The Person:

• Trade-based apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
• Mechanical maintenance experience within oil & gas, chemical or process industries
• Previous experience leading a team and/or supervising contractors
