This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Cumbria's leading technical education providers, supporting welding and fabrication apprentices as they progress through their qualifications and develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required by industry.
Working as part of an established apprenticeship team, you will work closely with learners and employers, carrying out workplace and remote assessments, monitoring progress, conducting reviews, and supporting apprentices through to End Point Assessment. You will also play an important role in the continued development of welding and fabrication apprenticeship provision.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background within welding and fabrication, hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline, and be passionate about developing others. Previous assessing experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training and development can be provided for the right individual.

The Role
* Support and assess fabrication and welding apprentices against apprenticeship standards
* Carry out workplace and remote assessments, reviews, and progress meetings
* Guide apprentices through their learning journey and End Point Assessment
* Work closely with employers to support learner development and achievement
* Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
The Person
* Level 3 qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Engineering, or a related discipline
* Industrial experience within welding and fabrication
* Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques, and industry standards
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Passionate about supporting and developing apprentices
* Assessor or verifier qualifications advantageous but not essential as training can be provided
