Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Technician looking for Specialist Training and a Long-Term Contract in a truly specialist engineering environment? Do you have experience maintaining complex mechanical plant and fuel systems, using workshop tooling safely and working from drawings and schematics?
This is a secure, long-term contract position within a highly technical onsite maintenance team, where you'll be backed with Specialist Training and a structured working pattern including a 9-Day Fortnight and 37 Hour Week. You'll be trusted to take ownership of critical equipment, fault-find quickly, and keep high-value operations running smoothly.
You'll be joining a respected engineering organisation with a reputation for world-class development and testing, offering exposure to unique systems and equipment you won't find in most industrial sites. There's genuine variety, technical challenge, and the chance to build rare, highly transferable expertise.

This role suits a Mechanical Maintenance Technician who is motivated by technical progression and becoming a recognised specialist through hands-on exposure, structured ways of working and continuous improvement projects.
The Role:
- Mechanical maintenance across specialist plant and facility systems in a world-class test environment
- Fully onsite in Peterborough, working closely with engineers, technicians and contractors
- 37 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight (typical 07:30 start, with flexible starts from ~06:00)
The Person:
- Time-served apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), or significant relevant industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical maintenance background with safe use of workshop tooling/equipment and structured fault-finding
- Fuel systems maintenance experience, plus the ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics
