Trainee Estimator

This company has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to secure an increasing number of new projects. As a result, they are expanding their estimating team and looking to add a fourth Estimator to support demand, where you'll play a key role in ensuring project budgets and timelines.
In this role, you'll work closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering teams to produce cost estimates, build Bills of Materials, analyse technical drawings, and prepare quotations using ERP systems and Excel. You'll gain exposure to a variety of manufacturing projects while developing valuable technical and commercial skills to enhance your professional development.
This position would suit a graduate, trainee, or junior estimator from a manufacturing, engineering, or construction background looking for extensive training, a supportive team environment, and clear progression routes into senior estimating roles.
The Role:
- Produce quotations, cost estimates, and Bills of Materials using ERP systems and Excel.
- Interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Support Sales and Purchasing teams with costing and budgeting activities.
The Candidate:
- Experience using Excel.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Trainee, Intern, or Graduate with estimating experience.
