Excellent opportunity for a scientific director or principal medical writer from a medical communications background to join an impressive and forward thinking company where you can stamp you mark on the team.
As Scientific Director, you will provide operational and scientific leadership of internal teams and designated accounts. You are expected to develop high-quality strategically sound, scientific documents and build strong client relationships, to enable organic growth within your accounts, and to support clients with strategic advice.
You will be also be responsible for the successful delivery of all projects you oversee and will lead the Scientific Services team to be proactive in that delivery and liaison with the client.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful project delivery alongside successful client management. You will be self-motivated and have experience of working with pharmaceutical contacts who enjoy working with you, value your input and would happily recommend you personally to their colleagues in any given situation.

*Manage, lead and motivate editorial team members, adhering to Company policies and procedures.
*Lead, coach and mentor editorial team members, providing support and guidance on client- and project-related issues.
*Be the main point of contact and provide scientific and strategic leadership for designated client accounts, providing operational and budgetary support.
*Be a key source of account/product/therapy area/editorial and writing expertise, gaining clients' respect, trust and understanding, as well as contributing creative ideas, concepts or suggestions and challenging thinking to improve outputs - setting an example to wider teams.
*Take responsibility for the delivery of multiple projects across accounts, providing direction through writing and reviewing to teams to achieve scientific excellence and ensure clear, accurate, grammatically correct work is produced that meets the project brief, timelines and budget.
*Work with the client service team to develop/review budgets against project specifications (ensuring these are appropriately detailed), monitoring the progress of projects against the agreed schedule and budget, and highlighting changes for client discussion, as necessary. *Fully understand and implement relevant industry guidelines and legislation, supporting colleagues and clients in this area, as required.
*Broad experience (min. 5 years) gained in medical communications agencies.
*A robust scientific background and in-depth knowledge of traditional medical education projects.
*Strong strategic thinking abilities with a track record of success in working with pharmaceutical clients to develop medical communications strategies.
*Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
