Quality Engineer (Manufacturing / Plastics)

Are you a Quality Engineer from a manufacturing background looking for a hands-on role where you will take full ownership of quality processes across multiple sites, with autonomy to make a real impact?
On offer is a unique opportunity to step into a standalone Quality Engineer role, where you will own the entire quality function across multiple locations, working cradle-to-grave on customer issues, process improvements, and quality systems.
This company are a well-established manufacturer within the automotive supply chain, specializing in plastics and assembly operations. They are known for their strong internal culture, stability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
In this role, you will act as the key point of contact for all quality-related matters, working closely with customers, production teams, and leadership to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and improve processes across the business.
This role is ideal for a Quality Engineer who enjoys autonomy, wants to take ownership, and is comfortable being hands-on across both the shop floor and customer-facing environments.
The Role:
- Own the full quality function across Chillicothe, OH and support Denton, TX operations
- Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, 8D) and implement corrective actions across manufacturing and assembly
- Travel to support other sites (initially more frequent, then quarterly) while working closely with production teams and customers
The Candidate:
- Quality Engineering experience within manufacturing (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans required)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Comfortable in a hands-on, standalone role with travel and customer interaction
