Construction Methods Lead Engineer - Pipeline Landfall

Salary negotiable

Teesside - Contract (6 Months Outside IR35)

Are you looking for a short term contract Outside IR35 role with an excellent day rate working on a Carbon capture/EPC projects within the Oil and Gas industry?

Step into a pivotal technical role supporting one of our clients key energy projects. As a Construction Methods Engineer, you will drive the planning, coordination, and technical execution of pipeline landfall activities-ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery across both onshore and offshore interfaces.

You will serve as a core technical link between engineering, vessel teams, and the client, shaping high-impact installation solutions from concept through execution.


The Role:

  • Administer and implement the project work programme, ensuring alignment with design, specifications, and approved methodologies.
  • Interpret, validate, and enhance design solutions, overseeing document control and coordination through your team.
  • Monitor all phases of work progress, reviewing engineering procedures, calculations, and deliverables to ensure they meet technical and contractual requirements.
  • Lead technical coordination with the client, participate in interface meetings, and support vessel-based teams with installation expertise.
  • Ensure all installation checklists, records, and documentation are completed to standard and transferred to QC.
  • Participate in critical offshore operations, ensuring adherence to approved methodology and capturing lessons learned.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to confirm compliance with engineering and project requirements.

The Person:

  • 10 years' experience in construction methods for pipeline landfall within Energy or Oil & Gas.
  • Relevant degree or diploma.
  • Valid OEUK medical certification.
  • Strong technical skills in pipeline and landfall methods, with proven team leadership.
