Mechanical Fitter (Training in Water Projects)


£13-£22 Per Hour + Full Training + Progression to Supervisor/Project Manager + Transport + Overtime Bonuses

Are you a Mechanical Fitter that is actively looking to develop their career further by focusing on a specific area of industry and by joining a long-established, friendly and supportive business that can offer you the chance to progress into supervisory and project engineering/management positions?

This business is well recognised in the Water industry for supporting clean and waste water projects through the provision of installation and reactive/breakdown services for major clients such as Thames Water and Wessex Water. They are looking to continue building upon their already positive reputation by providing a reliable service to gradually later projects, and in line with their recent involvement in the UK's largest sewer treatment project they are looking to expand their team further.

In this role you will be working alongside a senior fitter within the company to travel to sites in the area and carry out the fitting of things such as pipework, pumps and steel structures for mainly waste water but also clean water projects, ranging from projects valued at a few hundred pounds to multimillion pound projects.

Full training can be provided with this role to fill in any gaps in the successful candidates' knowledge and experience, however at a minimum the successful candidate will have some prior mechanical fitting experience and a full UK driving license is essential.

The role:
* Travelling to sites of all sizes for clean and waste water projects
* Receiving, reading and adhering to drawings/instructions from supervising engineers
* Fitting things such as pipework, pumps, handrails, flooring, steel structures, tanks etc.
* Overtime available on Saturdays and outside of standard hours, paid at Time and a Half

The person:
* Previous mechanical fitting experience
* Full UK driving license
* Experience fitting things such as pipework, pumps, handrails, flooring etc (advantageous)
* Experience in the Water industry (advantageous)
* SMSTS qualified (advantageous)
