Are you an experienced Mechanical design engineer who has an understanding of industry standards in the context of equipment sizing for domestic installations?

This company are a renewable energy provider who are on a mission to make the world more sustainable by offering competitive energy prices to homes across several companies all of which is sourced using 100% renewable methods. Following staggering success over the past 7 years, the company set up a low carbon heating team to specialise in the heat pump industry and discover new and innovative ways to make domestic heat pumps more accessible to homes across the UK, increase in demand means they need a new design engineer to cover the forever increasing work load.
In this role you will review survey data and carry out various sizing calculations to determine a technically viable solution for incoming heat pump enquiries. You will stay on top of material schedules and prepare mechanical schematics and basic layout drawings, these will then be compiled into detailed construction packs which will be passed to the operational team who will then action the installation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the design and installation of Air Source Heat Pumps in a domestic setting and whilst this is a mechanically biased role, any electrical competency would be greatly advantageous. In order to be successful in this role you will need a strong mechanical background working with ASHP, HVAC or other related systems and be skilled with equipment sizing, heat loss calculation reports and the use of 2D CAD software.

*Happy travelling to office based near Burnham approximately 3 days per week
