Lead Wind Travel Technician
$35-40/hr + overtime + per diem + paid travel time + health benefits + 401(k) + Rest & Recovery time
Home based with 90% travel to customer sites around TX, NM, and OK as needed
Are you a Wind Turbine Technician with GE experience looking for an opportunity to lead a crew within major component replacement operations?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization expanding its GE 1.5 capabilities, where you'll play a key role in building and supporting this division.
The company specializes in wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and field service operations. Backed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the organization is focused on delivering safe, reliable, and high-performance service solutions across the wind industry.
In this role, you will help support and grow the company's GE operations, traveling to customer sites across Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico to lead major component replacements, including gearbox, main bearing, and blade exchanges.
The Role:
- Lead major component replacement (gear box, main bearing, blade exchange)
- Oversee prep, crane operations, and return-to-service activities.
- Direct crane lifts using radio communication and hand signals.
The Person:
- Strong knowledge of GE 1.5.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Previous experience in major component replacements.
- Based in TX, NM, or OK
