£45,000 - £53,000 + Autonomy + Technical Development + Bonus + Benefits + Pension + Holiday

Are you a Lab Manager from a mechanical/electrical manufacturing background, looking to join an industry leading global manufacturer working at the highest standards within their field in terms of production and technology, that can offer a fully autonomous role with extensive technical development opportunities and a fantastic benefits package?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely well established manufacturer where you will play a key part in the success of the laboratory test and characterisation team, with full autonomy to lead and support a team of engineers, test system designers as well as identify areas for improvements, such as test system configuration and reliability, lab space utilisation, equipment sharing and storage, board identification and traceability.

Established over 50 years ago, this business have gone from strength-to-strength and are recognized as a global leader in their specialist sector. They have grown rapidly since their founding and are still thriving through this period of economic uncertainty, investing heavily back into the business. So they can keep up with demand and things are in place for future growth, they are looking to bring in a Mechanical/ Electrical Manager to play a key role in the success of the test and characterisation lab team.

In this role, you will play a key part in leading all lab based activities having full autonomy to oversee bench setups, design of custom tests systems, contribute to test equipment procurement and PCB/ Component repairs.

The Role:
*Lab Manager (Mechanical/ Electrical)
*Overseeing electrical/Mechanical laboratory builds, testing and component/ PCB design
*Senior and Autonomous Role

The Person:
*Experience within a similar Lab/Engineering Management role
*Experience with designing and assembling test fixtures and jigs
*Competent using lab equipment such as power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, thermal chambers
*Manufacturing and or Production experience
*Commutable from Swindon, Chippenham, Cirencester, Oxford, Abingdon and the surrounding areas.
