Established in 1994 my client are a UK and international leader in integrated power, monitoring and control systems for the marine, vehicle, off-grid and hybrid renewable energy sectors. With 80 staff across two sites, they design, engineer, manufacture, and innovate everything in-house - committed to a carbon-free footprint, sustainability, and continued expansion. Their hybrid renewable energy systems are shaping the next era of clean power, and this role puts you right at the centre of that mission.
This is a rare opportunity to join as the first Health, Safety & Environmental Lead/Manager, owning the entire HSE function and building it from the ground up. You'll lead and evolve the company's Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems, drive cultural excellence, shape policy, train teams, inspire leadership, and act as the key voice for risk, safety strategy and sustainability across the business.
You'll be an experienced HSE professional from a production/manufacturing environment who thrives in fast-paced settings, knows what "real world" workload looks like, and can hit the ground running. You'll bring a strong understanding of NEBOSH-led safety management, a proactive mindset, and a drive to take ownership from day one.

- NEBOSH qualified with solid HSE leadership experience
- Manufacturing/production background
- Proactive, confident and able to work independently

- Deliver training, audits and drive cultural change
- Manage investigations, risk assessments and compliance
- Support sustainability and renewable energy initiatives
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategy and standards
