Field Service Engineer - Maritime Waste Management Systems

Do you have mechanical engineering experience with some electrical knowledge and enjoy working in a field-based role?
I am currently representing a global manufacturer of maritime waste management systems that has been operating for over 50 years. They are continuing to grow internationally and are now looking for a new Field Service Engineer to join their German service team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with huge growth plans, aiming to double turnover by 2030, whilst working in a stable and growing industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, maintaining, and repairing maritime waste management systems across Germany. You will work on a range of mechanical and electrical systems including piping, wastewater treatment, and vacuum systems. Full product training and a buddy system will be provided until you are comfortable working independently.
The successful candidate will come from a general mechanical engineering background with some electrical/wiring experience. They must be comfortable fault finding, travelling for service work, and communicating professionally with customers.
You will be joining a company with strong long-term progression opportunities, including the chance to move into specialist positions or larger international teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The Role:
- Commissioning, servicing, and repairing maritime waste management systems
- Carrying out retrofits and new installations
- Mechanical, piping, and basic electrical fault finding
- Travelling to customer sites across Germany
- Advising customers on repairs and spare parts when required
The Candidate:
- General mechanical engineering experience
- Basic electrical/wiring knowledge
- Fault-finding experience
- Fluent in German and English
- Located commutable to Hemmoor
