Field Service Engineer - Packaging Machinery
France (Remote) - Travel across France, North Africa, Middle East & Rest of World
€40,000 - €50,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Specialist PLC Training + International Travel + Long-Term Technical Development
Are you looking for an opportunity to work on complex packaging machinery across an international customer base?
Do you have a background in Mechatronics, PLCs, or Field Service Engineering and want to further develop your technical expertise?
I am currently representing a globally operating manufacturer within the industrial packaging machinery industry that has been operating for over 50 years. They design and manufacture complex end-of-line packaging systems for customers across multiple industries worldwide and are now looking to grow their Service Hub across France and North Africa.
In this role, you will travel internationally to install, commission, service, and repair complex packaging machinery for customers across France, North Africa, and the Middle East, with occasional global deployments. You will also provide customer training, perform functional testing, and support machine modifications on-site.
The successful candidate will come from a Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering background with experience working on complex machinery in a field-based role. The company provides extensive training in Germany, including PLC upskilling and specialist machinery training, offering the opportunity to become a technical specialist within the business.
You will be joining a stable and growing international manufacturer with over 550 employees globally, offering strong technical development, independence, and long-term career stability.
The Role:
- Installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of complex packaging machinery
- International travel across France, North Africa, Middle East, and globally
- Conducting functional testing and machinery modifications
- Providing technical support and customer training
- Working with PLC systems including Siemens and Schneider
The Candidate:
- Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering background
- Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley, RSLogix, or similar)
- Previous field service or international travel experience
- Fluent in French and English
- Full Driving License and Passport
- Packaging machinery experience desirable
