Embedded Software Engineer Consultant
Livingston - Remote
£40,000 - £65,000 + Progression, Holiday, Company Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer to join an expanding international design and engineering consultancy in a highly technical and varied role.

This company are part of a group specialising in product design originally from the United States. With nearly 50 years of expertise, they provide services in electrical and mechanical engineering, software design, industrial design and project management to name a few.

In this role you will be responsible for electronic design solutions for software projects across the group. This will involve a broad range of projects from proof of concept to prototyping to full production. You will have the opportunity to develop initial ideas into real tangible products in short timescales.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing embedded / real-time systems and strong skills in modern C/C++ gained in a commercial environment. You will have strong knowledge of Linux System Development (e.g., Yocto, Debian), 16 and 32-bit microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC, MSP430, DSP), standard buses and protocols and embedded control of wireless modules. Any knowledge of RTOS, OOD, Windows development and C#, cryptography and Android / iOS development is advantageous.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Embedded Software to join a well-established product design consultancy in a very interesting and autonomous role.

The Role:
*Work with customers to develop innovative products
*Develop projects from proof of concept to prototyping to full production
*Based in Livingston but can be worked remotely

The Person:
*Proven experience developing embedded / real-time systems and strong modern C/C++ skills gained in a commercial environment
