£100,000-£120,000 + Progression + Training + Pension + Holiday

Excellent opportunity for a CTO to join a Medical Devices company taking a life-changing product to Human Clinical Trials shortly offering the chance to play a big part in further development of the product, the chance to build and grow your own department, and to ultimately save lives.

This company are a spinoff of Academia. They prototyped a life-saving device, ran tests and quickly discovered it worked! They've now reverse engineered it to meet strict Medical Device standards, and to be able to fully explain why the product works. They've received a multi-million pound funding grant to get the product through further development and human clinical trials (scheduled for next year).

In this role you'll work alongside the current CTO to build your knowledge on the product before taking the reigns on the department. You'll be responsible for the Electronic and Embedded Software elements of the device. You'll work alongside other senior members of the team to ensure the clinical trials stage of development runs as smoothly as possible.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Devices background, ideally seeing a device through to commercial launch. Candidates much have an understanding of the process of getting a Device Approved for use in the UK. Candidates must have experience with Electronic Design (PCBs) and a good understanding of Embedded Software (C, C++, Python). Candidates must be willing to relocate (if not already in the area) to Bath, Bristol, or Cardiff / surrounding areas.

The Role:
*Working alongside the current CTO to understand the product
*Taking control of the Electronics and Embedded Software Department
*Working with other Senior Leadership to get the product through Human Clinical Trials and beyond
*Based from either the Cardiff or Bristol offices

The Person:
*Strong Medical Devices background
*Strong Electronic Design Experience
*Good Embedded Software Knowledge
*Happy to work from Cardiff or Bristol
