C++ Software Engineer
Cockermouth (Hybrid)
£25,000 to £45,000 + hybrid working + pension + 25 days holiday + option to purchase holiday

This company are a world-leading research and development firm with international partners, working in the nuclear, defence and transportation sectors. This company develop genuinely fascinating electronic products for a slew of clients as well as their own product range.

In this role you will develop clean code to business requirements, in a variety of short- and long-term projects for this company's clients in exciting and different industries.

The ideal candidate will have either great project experience in education with C++ with Linux or demonstrable professional experience with C++ in a Linux environment. Desirable skills include MATLAB, Python and C# alongside great abilities with unit testing and standard template libraries.

The Role:

  • Developing software to business and client requirements
  • Developing according to a fortnightly Agile sprint method

The Person:

  • (Essential) Educational projects or professional experience using C++
  • (Desirable) Python, MATLAB, C#
