Trainee Test Technician-Manufacturing Sector

£20-23K plus Life Assurance, 25 days holiday, free parking, training, progression

Newark, Nottinghamshire, commutable from East Nottingham, Grantham, Newark, Mansfield, Lincoln

8.30-5 Mon-Thurs, 8.30-3.15 Friday (37 hours)


Are you from Manufacturing (ideally Automotive) Engineering background OR have HNC in Mechanical Engineering and are looking for a role offering training and long term progression, and a chance to join a global market leading company?

On offer is a day's based role, with on-going technical progression and training.

This company is the leader in the supply of precision and mechatronic products, primarily for the automotive industry.

The role would suit someone looking for a challenging role, focused on assisting in product testing and technical projects.


THE ROLE

  1. Responsible for assembly and build of test equipment
  2. Preparation of documentation, test bearings, test heads, calibration and setting up of instrumentation prior to testing
  3. Maintain and monitor progress of tests to ensure successful completion with regular feedback on progress

THE PERSON

  1. Working/academic experience within a manufacturing mechanical engineering environment
  2. IT literate particularly Excel and word
  3. Basic understanding of operating test equipment


The role is working 37 hours per week 8.30-5 Mon-Thurs, 8.30-3.15 Fri.
