Carbon Reduction Commitment Statement

Rise Technical Recruitment recognises the importance of reducing greenhouse-gas emissions and supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy.

We are committed to taking practical and proportionate steps to reduce the environmental impact of our UK operations and the services we deliver. Our approach focuses on reducing avoidable business travel, supporting hybrid and remote working where operationally appropriate, encouraging sustainable travel choices, improving energy efficiency, minimising waste, increasing recycling, and considering environmental factors in purchasing and supplier decisions.

As a people-led professional-services business, we recognise that our principal opportunities to reduce carbon emissions are linked to office energy use, employee commuting, business travel, digital operations, waste management and the procurement of goods and services. We will continue to identify opportunities to reduce emissions in these areas and to promote lower-carbon ways of working across our business.

Rise Technical will:

  • Encourage virtual meetings and remote delivery where this provides an effective alternative to travel.
  • Prioritise rail, public transport, shared travel and other lower-carbon options for necessary business journeys where practical.
  • Support flexible, hybrid and remote working arrangements where compatible with client service, employee wellbeing and operational requirements.
  • Promote responsible energy use in our offices, including efficient lighting, heating, cooling and equipment-use practices.
  • Reduce unnecessary printing, single-use materials and avoidable waste, while encouraging recycling and responsible disposal.
  • Consider sustainability, locality and environmental credentials where appropriate when selecting suppliers, services and operational resources.
  • Review our environmental practices regularly and seek to improve the quality of information used to understand and manage our carbon impact.
  • Encourage colleagues, clients and partners to adopt practical lower-carbon working practices.

We will keep this statement under review and update it periodically as our environmental management approach, operational data and carbon-reduction priorities develop.
